As an invited or qualified athlete to the 2026 FTA World Championships, in Portugal you will be required to fill out this registration form, once you have obtained your FTA membership number, in order to compete. This page will also be regularly updated with important information, so please check back regularly for updates.
Once you have completed the form below, you may be contacted by our media team to answer a few more questions to announce you will be competing in Portugal.
Please upload professional style photo's of yourself; passport style, from the waist up, one smiling and one serious, no sunglasses or hats.

ATHLETES WHO HAVE QUALIFIED TO ATTEND THE 2026 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS MUST REGISTER HERE BY JULY 20th!!

As a reminder, all athletes must complete their 2026 FTA membership before entering any FTA sanctioned events this year. Your membership is required before purchasing event entries, and your member number will be sent to you on your receipt and must be included on your registration form.
Athletes who want to compete at this year’s World Championships must also enter an official qualifier, unless they are already automatically qualified under this year’s rules.
For 2026 only, the top 5 athletes from each division at last year’s World Championships are automatically qualified for this year’s event. All women from last year are also automatically qualified for 2026.
For athletes who are unable to attend a live qualifier, the FTA will also offer an online qualifier, with 3 additional spots available in each category.
Please also note that the qualification rules will become more competitive next year. Beginning in 2027, only the World Champions from the previous year will automatically pre-qualify. All other athletes will need to earn their place through the official FTA qualification system.
We are incredibly excited about what is ahead this season and cannot wait to bring the world together once again for another special World Championships.

**WEATHER PLAN: If there is rain forecasted in the schedule, we will have to move and alter the schedule which means you might have to go earlier or later than planned, but we will have a what's app group with updates to inform you. If we know rain is forecasted we can adjust in advance, however, all athletes must remember if we experience unexpected rain, we will delay the competitions until it has passed.
